This is a downloadable PDF knitting pattern, you will not receive the physical item when purchasing the listing. I do not offer refunds for this listing.
The body of the Homestead Sweater is knit flat, bottom up. First the front panel is made using intarsia to create the image. Then the back is made using colour K (main colour) only. The two panels are joined at the shoulders using the three needle bind off, then the sides are seamed up using mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up around the collar and the ribbing is worked in the round. Lastly, stitches are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked top down in the round on a long circular needle with the magic loop method, or on DPNs.
Level: intermediate
Yarn weight: Chunky.
Yarn used: Drops by Air (held double).
Needles: 6.00mm 40cm and 80cm / 100cm. 8.00mm 80cm / 100cm x 2 for 3 needle bind off.
