This is a beginner friendly crochet tote bag, made in the round using single crochet. It does involve tapestry crochet for which I have included a link to a helpful tutorial on this technique.
Materials & equipment: 150g/225 metres of Drops Paris (or any other worsted weight cotton) in colour A
100g/150 metres of Drops Paris (or any other worsted weight cotton) in colour B
1 x darning needle
1x 4.5mm crochet hook
Crocheting level: confident beginner
Techniques used: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, tapestry crochet
Abbreviations: slip stitch = SS, single crochet = SC. Please note I use the American terms for crochet stitches
Tension gauge: 3x3 inch square = 12 SCs and 12 rows. Please be aware however, this pattern is not gauge sensitive, it is suitable for all yarn weights!
Approximate dimensions: using a worsted weight cotton and 4.5mm crochet hook = 12.5 inches width, 12 inches height not including handles, 20 inches height including handles.
